- Begin Installation:

- Select Edition:
- Choose “Windows Server 2016” from the list of available editions.
- Accept License Terms:
- Read and accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.
- Select Installation Type:
- Choose between “Upgrade” (if applicable) or “Custom: Install Windows only.”
- Partition the Drive:
- Select the drive where you want to install Windows Server and partition it if necessary.
- Complete the Installation:
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation process. The server will restart several times.
Activation Steps:
- Access Settings:
- After installation, go to “Settings” > “Update & Security” > “Activation.”
- Enter Product Key:
- Enter your 25-character product key to activate Windows Server 2016.
- Internet Connection:
- Ensure that the server is connected to the internet for online activation. Alternatively, you can activate by phone.
- Verification:
- Once the key is accepted, Windows Server will verify the activation status.
